Halloween Bash 2005
This is the pumpkin I carved the night before the party. Tom L. at my work gave me about 50 AOL trial CDs that he stole from the Post Office, so I was finding all kinds of uses for them. As you can see, they are great for helping to illuminate the inside of pumpkins. I knew AOL was good for something! Thanks Tom!
This was on our deck out back. That's my mach Grim Reaper I created (in the back) that got destroyed by the storm a few days before the party. At night I had a strobe light on it. Every so often the flicker of the strobe would light it up just enough for people to catch a glimpse of it.

Another view of our deck looking out of the kitchen.

Our refrigerator. Oooo.... spooky.
I tried to get a picture of our house at night, but it came out awful. This does not do it justice. It does need a lot of work, but it is a great house to live in. Liam likes it too.

This is looking into our living room window from the right side of our yard. This window is cool because it can be decorated for all the holidays. It also lets a lot of light into the living room.

Another view of our living room window showing how I decorated it with creepy stuff.

This is the corner of our living room. The mannequin was given to us by Jill's brother Stephen. It belonged to a very nice lady we knew who sadly passed away.

This was the pathetic attempt I made to create a guy coming out of a grave. I was running out of time setting it up, but also the storm blew over the marble slab you see behind it. The marble slab weighed about 50 pounds. That's how strong the winds were in the storm.
This is the dummy my nephew Billy and I made the weekend before the party (thanks Billy). The newspaper we filled it with was wet and we were freezing our frikkin butts off! I wanted to set up more dummies, but ran out of time.

This is in our den where the movie clips were playing. I painted these walls with sound proofing paint. Supposedly it is supposed to absorb 30% of the noise. It seems to work very well. I guess NASA uses the stuff too.

Another view of our den.

That our 32 inch TV set hooked to a 100 watt Sony Surround system. In the cabinet below hooked to the TV and surround receiver is a PC with a 1.4GHz AMD Thunderbird processor with 1GB of 2700DDR RAM, and ATI 256MB 9250 video card and a 4.1 surround card (generic). It works great for movies, games and music.

Another view of the entertainment center.

This is looking into the front room from our kitchen area. That is the kitchen sink area off to the far right with the bathroom door next to it.

This is the right side of our yard. My poor frikkin buried guy. Maybe next year will be better.

Kind of looks goofy.

The newlyweds Trina B. and Brian B. as Yoda and Princess Leia.

Kris B. as Mr Smith from the Matrix.

Cameron B. as an evil sorcerer.

Steve C. as sanitation bucket and Angela as a flapper.

Steve C. caught off guard.

This is the graveyard cake that Dan M. made for his snack.

This is Kris B's rotting Jello skull.

This is Brian and Trina B's spider cake.

That's Dan M.. He's bull sh*t.

Bill C. as Jason from Friday the 13th. He makes a great Jason.

This is our living room facing out towards our side yard.

That's definitely the best Jason mask I've seen so far.

Looking for Mr Anderson?

This was the juke box PC I set up in the front room. I set it to play horror movie clips and music at random for the entire night. When the music played, it made psychedelic backgrounds that swirled and did some cool transitions.

This is Kelly and her boyfriend Neil. He was an 80's metalhead and she was an 80's girl.

Bill C's Jason mask had two layers. Very cool!

That's Jim P.. At first I said "Where's your costume?". Then he replied, "I'm Mucho Dinero".

When I got a closer look at his shirt, I realized there was lot of Robert De Niro on it!

This is Nicole P.. She is an 80's metalhead. Jim P. and Nicole are also newlyweds.

This is my scary clown. He is a great conversation piece due to the things that happened in relation to him. You can find out what I mean by clicking on the following link -

My scary Emmett Kelly doll

Ruth, Ruth.... Baby Ruth.  Just kidding Bill. That's a great mask.

Paul G. showed up as a Roman Gladiator. He made this entire costume from parts he bought from thrift stores and flea markets. The shield was an old metal wall decoration which he puts rivets and leather on it. The leg guards were a vase that was cut in half and attached with leather straps. Very creative and resourceful!

This is Dan V.. He also made this costume from scratch. It is Grimm from the Cartoon Network. He even made the scythe that he is holding. Dan is very creative too. He won the first best costume prize at our first Halloween party. That year he made the perfect Groundskeeper Willy from the Simpson's. I can't wait to see what he makes next time.

Paul and his shield. The shield had quite a bit of weight to it due to it not being one of those chinsey cheap plastic ones. I'd hate to be backhanded with that! The spear too had quite a bit of weight to it.

Grimm smiling for the camera.

That's my nephew Curtis J.. He was Alex from the Clockwork Orange. As you can see, he was very happy to be at the party.

Okay... I don't know why I am hearing that whistling tune for that commercial with Bob in it.

Fernando F. showed up as a Reaper. I like how it looks like he is raising his eyebrow.

This is Katie B. as a vampiress, her husband (and my cousin) Jim B. as Dracula and Katie's sister Mary as a witch.

Katie and Jim made a nasty Bio Hazard snack. There were stool samples (like a Snickers bar), phlegm samples (apple sauce with a dot of red food coloring) and urine samples (lemonade?). This is the same lady that made the Toilet Bowl stew a few years ago!
Mmmmm..... stools.

Very disturbing, but we loved it!

As you can see, we had a full house.

My nephew Billy J. (Curt's brother) showed up as a weird faced guy. I thought the albino eyes made it creepy.

Duuuude!

Bill C. and his wife Rebecca. Rebecca was a butterfly.

Caught without his sun glasses.

Dan M. trying to be a smart shi*.

This is our den. I had a PC hooked to the TV and surround receiver playing horror clips all night long. The base shook the room like crazy, but due to the sound proof paint I put on the walls (2 layers of it), it wasn't as loud outside of the room. The stuff really works! That's Fernando F. in the lower right. He hates having his picture taken, so I think he'll probably kill me after seeing this.

Mary, Katie, Rebecca, Cameron and Kris were telling ghost stories part way through the night.

Jim B. and Bill C. hanging out in the living room.

I don't know why, but Dan looks bull shi*.

Very cool mask Dan. I wish I had a photo of his last mask. If I come across it, I will be sure to post it to our site.

It's knawing at my skull!

I don't know what Jim is saying to Dan, but it must've been funny.

This was one of the prizes. It was a pumpkin bucket with skeleton lollipops, a wind up Michael Meyers and a $25 Blockbuster gift card.

This was the same as above, except it had a wind up Jason.

Katie won the prize for the best snack (Bio Hazard snacks) and Paul won for the best costume (Roman Gladiator).
Great job guys!

This was the door to our bathroom.

The brothers Kris and Cameron.

Believe it or not, I still had a lot of decorations which I did not have time to put up.

I think we had at least 22 people at the party.

Mary, I think your hat has a flat.

If we have the time, we may have another party next year?
Kris took home his skull Jello.

My wife Jill (in the leopard skin pajamas) dressed as one of those nasty old, whorish land ladies that wear a ton of make-up and smoke a lot (she doesn't really smoke). She had rollers in her hair earlier. I'm so glad she doesn't wear make-up. I told her that I had a tough time seeing her with that much make-up on!

Jim and Katie going home.

Most people left around midnight.

This is our stairway to the second floor.

A profile of Billy.

Dan watching movie clips.

The day after.

The specimens the next day.
