Halloween Horror Bash 2006
Jill and I almost did not have a Halloween party, but since last years party went so well, we decided to have another Halloween Horror Bash.
I set up an FX machine in our tenant part of the house next door. It made any lights hooked to it dim and blink to any bass sounds coming from the CD player I connected to it. It went off at one point due to the CD players power cod being shook so much it shut off the CD player. I had to run next door and hook it back up. Other than that, it worked incredibly well.
This is footage from outside of our house, then onto the porch. I apologize if the quality is not the best. The raw video footage I have is much clearer.
This is the ghost I made last year. I put it in the upper right window of our tenant unit next door. I placed a strobe light behind it to make it glow. In the day I had to move it because it scared our son.
This is the monster I made in the living room next door. The FX machine lit it up just enough to give a quick look at the creepy thing. I made a work bench with torture tools on it in front of the monster. Below is a clip of the FX machine lighting it up. The quality is not the best due to the quick flashes of light, but near the end you can see it better.
This is a clip of the monster next door and the FX machine running.
This is my monster next door and it's workbench.
This is a clear shot of the monster with the lights on next door.
This is part of our living room before the guests showed up.

We gave all our guests goofy glasses for coming to the party (if they wanted a pair). Some people wore them around for part of the night.
Alan H came as Jason from Friday the 13th.
Bill C as George Bush and Rebecca C as a mad housewife. George, you better not mess up.
Don't cross the mad housewife!
Dan M the breathalyzer! Thanks to those of you who helped Dan by voting on which costume he should wear this year. Luckily no one got drunk!
He was sotally tober, but man was he wired from all the sugary Jones sodas.
Paul G the Buccaneer. Arrrrr!
Dan the Doctor.
Nicole P the Jellyfish.
Nicole even made the pants design herself too. It looked like a sandy Ocean floor.
Jim P.... the surfer that got bit by the Jellyfish??
Fernando F the Zombie. Complete with peeling skin.
Smile Fernando!
Jim B the Vampire and Katie B the Proctologist.
Irene K as a two faced character. Ghost Face from Scream and ......
Ghost Face from Scary Movie. Wazz-upp!
Faith B as a Witch. Looks like she wants to kill the photographer.
Kelly and Neil as a Renaissance duo.
Kris B the rapper..... or MC Kris. Yo, yo, yo!
The two Doctors Katie and Dan.
My wife Jill as a happy colorful clown.
Jill's big clown feet. Luckily she did not have to kick anyone's butt.
Me in my own hand-sewn Evil Scarecrow costume. In the past years I was not able to get pics of my costumes. This is because I was the only one taking pictures!
I was quite proud of this one since it came out the way I planned.
Mary the maiden. Merry Mary Maiden.
Robbie N as (he quoted) himself 20 years from now. As you can see, he's aged quite well!
Mandy N as a black cat.
Matt as a Sumo. Someone get this guy a bra.
Our Butcher Shop sign above the food table.
The new rage that has swept the nation (or at least on the Internet), Cannibal Meat Market food.
Faith B's Devil's Eyes.
Dan M's Graveyard Cake.
Irene K's Spider Cheesecake Pie.
Katie B's Severed Arm filled with pepperoni pizza dip. Jeeze.... I could not eat any of this due to the way it looked. Those that did said it tasted great.
This is footage of Katie's Severed Arm snack.
Kris B's chicken wings. Jill will be making these for part of our dinner one of these nights. Thanks for the recipe Kris.
Buccaneer Paul's treasure chest of chocolate gold coins.
The snack table. The ghost cake was from Bill C and Rebecca. I didn't get to take a photo of it, but it was mostly eaten before I could. Jim P and Nicole brought Rice Crispy Treats which were in the tinfoil in back. I didn't not get a picture of that either due to them mostly being eaten before I could take a snap-shot. If I missed anyone, let me know.
The center of the kitchen always seems to be the spot where everyone hangs out to talk.
This skeleton here was named Rags by our son. Any time someone walked by it, it would say wise-crack comments.
Paul and Dan hanging out in the front room.
This was our little wall of horror figures and knick-knacks. Up top on the left is the Hellraiser Lamentation Box.
My wife asked me to do this. No... really, she did.
Aha.... so that is what Jason looks like without the mask.
Count Jimula.
Irene unmasked... or caught off guard.
Hey Dan, I told you I would get some good pictures of you!
My cousin Rob and I talking about the Indian Burial ground on our family's land in Wolfeboro New Hampshire.
Look out, Matt coming through.
Faith or Beelzebub Disembodied Mummy. Jill made a "Your Horror Movie Name Chart" with name tags for everyone this year.
Matt getting ready for.....
.....a Sumo sized enema! Watch out, contents under pressure!
Scarecrow vs Jellyfish.
Our front room TV. Unfortunately I could not get the horror clips running on it this year due to them being in the wrong format. However, this means there will just be more clips next year, assuming it all works out. Sob, sob.
This is our den. I had clips somewhat running in this room this year. But the same issues occurred that did on the front room TV. Aaarrgh! Last year both rooms worked flawlessly. Well now I have a whole year to fix it.
Our den with the horror movie clips running. The scene on the TV screen is from Hellboy.
Faith chilling out in our living room.
Lots of snacks.
Brainnnss...
Joking around.
Scarecrow vs Jason
The kitchen while tallying the votes for best costume and best snack.
Katie's Severed Arm won the best snack award.
Paul's Buccaneer costume won the best costume award.
Katie and Paul opening their prize boxes. Surprise!
Boing! Surprise!
Paul and Katie checking out their prizes.
In the boxes were $20 Target gift cards, a screaming Halloween figure and candy monster teeth.
Katie showing off her monster teeth and goofy glasses.
Dan looking as if his sugar high was wearing off.
As a parting gift, Jill made candy apples. She felt really bad because she knew I was highly allergic to uncooked apples.
After she already bought all the supplies for making them, she said "Oh crap, you're going to kill me." Then told me she was making candy apples. I was fine until she put the sticks in them, then my nose started to run, I started sneezing and for over an hour I was wheezing and my sinuses were irritated.
Everyone else loved the apples. Katie called us the next day and said that if she were on Death Row, this is the food she would request!
More pics and videos coming soon....
