Scavenger Hunts

This is the first event Jill and I came up with. One day we were sitting around trying to think of a way to get a large group to do something crazy.... something that people would talk about for years. Then it came to us.... a scavenger hunt! We spent months creating a large list of items in point categories depending on how difficult they were to obtain. After the list was created we made a set of rules and regulations, then made a form saying that we are not held responsible for any illegal activities anyone takes part in. A couple of weeks later I made an invitation that we mailed out to everyone we thought would be interested. After the invitations were mailed out we requested that anyone who wanted to join should contact us so we could figure out the food situation and the number of teams. We had a cook out before the competition started and had everyone sign the form stating that we aren't held responsible for any illegal actions taken by any persons, then we collected the entry fee ( which was the cash prize for the winning team ). About five minutes before the hunt began we handed out the list. This gave each team a short time to try to come up with a strategy. Once it hit 6:00 PM everyone took off and had until midnight to collect as many items as possible. On the top of this page are the links to the Scavenger Hunts ( past and future ). The next one we have is called " The Hunt in the Hills " because it is going to be held in Ossipee, New Hampshire. The first scavenger hunt only had 3 teams, but a lot of people are showing interest in " The Hunt in the Hills " which means the more people, the bigger the prize. Also the section in this site for the 2nd scavenger hunt is going to be much better because we are asking each team to bring a camera with them ( there may also be a few video cameras too ). The first scavenger hunt section isn't very good because I had no idea so many people would show interest, and also I had no idea I would ever make a web site back then. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy what we try to set up for all of you. As I said before.... you guys are what make these competitions better. Hope to see you all soon.
